Performance Changes to do to WSUS:
From IIS Manager Expand Server name > Sites > Click WSUS Administration site. Go into Advanced settings (on the right side in the actions menu) , expanded Limits section and Increase Connection Time-out from 180 to 320. 

From IIS Manager Expand Server name > Application Pools.  Right click Advanced Settings on WsusPool, change Private Memory Limit (KB) from 1843200 to zero (not limited) then click OK 

From IIS Manager > Select the server name > From the "IIS" section in the center of IIS Manager, open "MIME Types" > Click "Add…" >
  File Mame Extention: = .esd
  MIME type: application/octet-stream

Make a copy of the C:\Program Files\Update Services\WebServices\ClientWebService\web.config

Edit the file C:\Program Files\Update Services\WebServices\ClientWebService\web.config

change this entry: <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="4096" /> 

to this: <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="204800" executionTimeout="7200" /> 

Reboot the server

Test connection by opening a web browser and goto: http://localhost:8530/ClientWebService/client.asmx
